7 Months Old!

Bath Time

Here is Emily in the bath. She just "graduated" from the infant tub to the sink. Bathtime now is a far cry from what it was like when she was a newborn and hated it. She loves splashing in the water and kicking her feet. She's finally stable enough sitting on her own that I don't have to worry that at any second she might topple over and crash into the side of the sink, so we decided to give up the infant tub. I'm enjoying the days in the sink while I can. It's so much easier being able to stand than bending over at the tub. She got nice and clean and we even gave her a nice little shampoo mohawk.

More Emily Pictures

These are more pictures of Emily from Labor Day weekend when Aunt Jill and Uncle Nathan were visiting. Nathan's parents brought Emily a stuffed rainbow colored moose from their trip to Alaska and Emily is obsessed with Marty the Moose. She loves to have him hang out of her mouth. She seems to have taken a liking to all moose, we saw a similar one, but all brown at a store over the weekend and Emily was all over it. Maybe she likes the antlers?

Labor Day Visitors

Here is Emily with Aunt Jill and Uncle Nathan when they were here for Labor Day weekend. Uncle Nathan brought Emily a cute t-shirt from his law school. It has the Sesame Street characters on it and says "Brought to you by the letters L A W." It's a youth extra small and Emily is swimming in it. Too cute! It'll be neat to take pictures of Emily in it over the next few years until it fits and watch Emily continue to grow.

We had a great time while they were here visiting. Greg and I were even able to go out on a bike ride together!

Baby Legs!

Here is Emily in her adorable little Baby Legs! Check them out here.

All of her teachers at school couldn't get over how cute she was in them. This will make it super easy for her to keep wearing dresses since she'll need something to cover her legs and tights would be tough with diaper changes. I think they are just too cute!

Food Glorious Food

Here are some pictures of Emily trying to enjoy her food. She actually doesn't love eating solids, but we seem to be making some progress. She had her first meal of rice cereal on Saturday, September 2. She has since enjoyed oatmeal more than rice cereal and has tried sweet potatoes, avocados, and is trying banana this weekend. I keep thinking she has to enjoy the next food more than the one that she is on, but it hasn't happened yet. Part of the problem is that by the time we can do it most days, she is tired from her day at daycare. They are going to start trying oatmeal with her on Monday and see how that goes since they can do it when she is more alert and happy. Most of the pictures are from her first try of food, but the one without a shirt is when she had avocado. She was so interested in the bib that we had to take it off and then take off most of her onesie so that it stayed clean so that she would pay attention to eating! Silly girl. When she does eat, she barely eats a teaspoon of food. I think she's supposed to be eating more than that.

We have found one thing that she really loves, water! She loves to have her sippy cup of water after she eats. Emily even cries when it's done. We wait until she's had the spoon food to give it to her, otherwise we'd have no chance of getting anything else in her mouth!
