Emily's New Videos

Here is Emily's standing video. This was taken yesterday. She's getting to be such the little dare devil. She couldn't stand like this a few days ago. And she's starting to take some nice steps when holding on to us.

Here is a video of Emily playing with one of her favorite toys, her new train! This was taken about a week ago.

Emily and Her Hair Standing Up

One of Emily's teachers put pigtails in all of the little girl's hair in Emily's class on Friday. She hadn't done Emily's hair, she wanted to ask first. When I said it was fine with me to do, she did them before I took her home. She didn't look at all like my Emily to me when she had them in. But she was cute!

Emily is also becoming quite the standing girl. Here are a few pictures of her standing at the top of the stairs. We stood her up there, but she is staying nice and steady all on her own. She has also figured out how to move her feet and walk when we are holding her hands. It won't be long before we have a mover on our hands!

Emily's First Christmas!

Emily had a great first Christmas! We flew to St. Louis and despite a crazy airport on the east coast, made it there without much of a problem. Emily did great on the plane. A couple of days before we left Emily got to try to open her first gift, one that came from Aunt Christi and Uncle Dan. Although she loves the little piano she received, the real thrill of the evening for her was the bow that was on the package. Who would have thought? I've even used it a few times when I've needed a good distraction for her. She tried to help tear the wrapping paper a little bit, but is still too young to understand. On Christmas morning Emily got up and played and then opened up the gifts that Santa brought to her in her stocking. Once the rest of the family was over, she opened up the rest of the gifts for her under the tree. She loved the stacking cups that we got her. They have definitely been the biggest hit, her eyes still light up when she sees them. Grandy and Poppy gave her a lot of really neat books and she loves a train that she got from Grandma and Grandpa.

Emily got along really well with Frisco, Aunt Jill and Uncle Nathan's dog. She doesn't mind her at all and laughed when Frisco licked her face, silly girl.

I will get some more updates up in the next few days. I've been a bit behind recently.
