Fall Ride to the Park

We took Emily on a tandem ride to the park on Sunday. It was a bit cool getting started, probably around 55 degrees, but it warmed up quickly and Emily seemed nice and comfy when she was in her jacket and fleece blanket. We rode to the park that is about 9 miles away and Emily practiced going through the tunnel and walking across the shaky bridge. She also went down the slide a few times, which she had recently been adamantly against. She's starting to get bolder on the playground, which is good. She can get into the tunnels all by herself and can walk on the bridge alone, too. Just a couple of weeks ago we had to help her do all of those things. It's too bad that it is going to be cold soon and our visits to parks will be a bit more limited before long.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch while Grandma and Grandpa were visiting a week ago. We took a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch and then let our pumpkin take a ride back on the tractor while we picked apples and walked back to the front.

Emily spent some time on Greg's back and some time walking with us. She had a lot of fun and enjoyed taste testing the apples with me. When there are at least 2 adults, Emily wants to hold both of their hands. You can see Emily holding on to 2 hands in a lot of the pictures. At least it is feeling like fall with the apples and pumpkins around here!
